One Of The Most Beautiful Beaches In Ireland.

We went to Inch beach in county Kerry on Sunday.  It's 3 miles long and incredibly beautiful.  The car park is free and lots of people park and drive a long the beach.  There's a pub and a restaurant, surf schools and wind yacht surfing..

It was a location used in the film: "Ryan's Daughter."  Do you have a favourite beach in the British Isles?

If you want a break from overcrowded beaches and madding crowds.  You could always visit Ireland.  She's such a beautiful country especially when the weather is so marvellous at the moment.  If it rained at night and the sun shone in the day time.  Life would be just perfect.

  1. Can't think of a beach in England to match that.

    1. I have seen some great beaches in Cornwall, Cumbrian. Fistral beach is amazing and the walk across the causeway to St Michael's Mount is magical.

We spent many an holiday in the North Bay in Scarborough.

The beaches in Ireland are so none commercialized and the revel in their natural beauty. Thanks!

  2. That beach is a beauty. We have some nice beaches in Norfolk, from fine white sand to pebbles and stones. We have a couple of favorites, out of the way places, but the popular one for many people here, for fine sand and long walks is Holkham Beach in North Norfolk.

    1. Hi Rachel. We once visited Cromer in Norfolk. Couldn't get over how flat Norfolk is.

  3. I lived by the sea for quite some years, and even now sometimes miss walking along the shore, but we do have a river, so that sort of makes up for not being by the sea. But I do not miss the ferocious winter gales which used to come directly from Russia!

    1. I believe there are river beaches to enjoy in Portugal Vera. I would miss the view of the bay from our kitchen window but I won't miss the gales. We had ten last winter. I think no where nicer on a nice summer's day and nowhere worse to be on a wet and windy winter's day. Thanks.

    1. Hi hope this isn't our summer we are having now Anne and it turns into a wet squib when the heaven's open like last year. Been to Galway and Mayo. I love county Clare, Kerry and Cork. Donegal is supposed to be beautiful.

  5. I keep the location of my favourite beach a secret to protect the starfish. But it is on the Gower. Be careful if you go to the Worms's Head. The tide can come in quickly and cut you off but at least you will have adders and seals for company.

    1. Worm's Head. When he was young and sober Dylan Thomas used to walk there and back from Swansea. Quite a distance. Pity he ruined his health through drink, which finally killed him in a New York bar.

    2. Hi Gwil. Just been looking at images of Worm's Head. It looks stunning. I think there is always a price for fame, sadly. Don't think I could handle being really famous. Dylan Thomas was a flawed genius like so many great poets. Thanks!
