Small butchers with their own slaughter house don't mind them having horns. I always enjoy your farming stories Rachel. I found the de-horning kit when we sold up the farm. Sometimes we would buy in a cow that had horns and they would cause a few problems to the other cows tossing their heads about and they would also be misshapen, not perfect horns. Best to de-horn. Lots of Irish cattle used to be sold in our local market for beef and they had horns though.Rachel Phillipshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16053924416805878169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1577767911269302322.post-46776417775542483342015-10-15T08:14:52.928-06:002015-10-15T08:14:52.928-06:00Thanks Vera. Couldn't afford to feed a herd of cows. We just buy calves and sell them when they become too big for us.northsider https://www.blogger.com/profile/00716743611909673869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1577767911269302322.post-8748784677633858442015-10-15T08:10:03.764-06:002015-10-15T08:10:03.764-06:00Hi John.
