Happy New Year. We went shopping in Kerry (Iceland and Argos) and went for a drive to Castlegregory. It looked so different to when I walked the same beach back in August. We stopped at the car-park and did our usual staring at the bay. The clouds and sky looked lead in colour and very emotional.
My mental jukebox started playing in my head. A song from one of my favourite Barclay James Harvest albums: The Turn Of The Tide. Hope you enjoy it.
Lovely deserted beach there Dave, looks perfect place to sit and watch for a while. I like the Barclay James Harvest track. I don't know what I want for 2017, just more of the same I suppose. Arsenal to win the European Cup! Happy New Year to you all from me.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to You and P, Rachel. Ireland is wonderful for isolated walks and deserted beaches. It's beauty is spectacular. You can walk all day on this beach and there's still miles of sand in front of you.
ReplyDeleteI am happy the way United are playing again. The top six could have a league of their own.
If I get a week or two holiday in the sun this year, I will be very happy. Thanks!
Plenty of beach there, all it needs is some sunshine.
ReplyDeleteYes lots of beach Cumbrian and the rain held off. It's probably the longest sand stretch I have ever seen. Thanks!
DeleteLovely photos, but made me feel chillier than what I am feeling already......minus 5C temperatures at the moment, so need sunny and warm photos! Meanwhile, wishing you all the best for 2017.
ReplyDeleteThanks Vera. Minus 5C? Yikes. I thought it was always really hot in your part of France. Hope you have a great 2017 and look forward to reading your blog posts.
DeleteA real winter beach scene. Liked the music. Never heard them before
ReplyDeleteHappy new year, Dave. Looking forward to your posts in 2017
Thanks LA. Berlin: A Concert For The People is well worth watching. BJH played there just after the wall came down. Look forward to your posts too. Happy New Year.
DeleteHi ya Dave, wishing you and your family and amazing 2017!
ReplyDeleteSame to you Sol. Hope you get your house in Cornwall next to the sea.
DeleteHappy new year Dave, the colour of those clouds are wonderful
