Been A Long Time Since I Rock And Rolled Or Even Blogged For that Matter!

Well, well, well, my Michelle!  Yes its May since I last posted anything on the old Tweb and Tinternet gizmo, thingamajig..  I hope you're all well and I look forward to reading your blogs and comments.  So what have you been up to?

We have been restoring the farmhouse (square pegs don't go into round holes, dial a nightmare..) and we spent some days in Kerry and visited the Aran Isles and I did go on a Ryan Air plane to Frankfurt Hahn and went to a rock festival in my fifties.  That's one off my bucket list for sure.

Our dream home in the Sun never came off.  The vendors wanted us to pay for electricity to be connected.  So after a month of negotiations (3 different prices in a day!) we decided to pull out and paid the solicitor 1500 Euros for very little really!  Any way we have spent the money doing up the old farmhouse now.  So we will have to think again.  Its still a dream though.

Here's a German band called Eyevory from the festival at Night Of The Prog 2017. To quote Max Boyce:

"I know, I was there."

They reminded me of a female led Jethro Tull type of band.  I hope you enjoy them.  Thanks to the people who post these excellent videos on You Tube.

  1. Hi Dave, I have missed you and your blog and your comments on mine. Sounds like you are very busy. It must be a record to actually stay away from blogging for so long. I can never manage it! I enjoyed listening to Eyevory, a good mix of rock and folk. Shame about the house in the sun, must have been meant not to be on that one; keep on looking and following your dreams.

  2. Thanks Rachel. I have know people stay away from blogging for a lot longer than me. You are right it is a long time.

Eyevory are very much folk/rock rather than good old Prog. They had lots of energy and the Loreley crowd really enjoyed their show. The house in the sun became a farce but we know in future to check out the utility connections before proceeding with a sale. Thanks!!

  5. Now your return is a coincidence Dave, for this morning I was only saying to Mrs H that you seemed to have stopped blogging and here you are !
I enjoyed some of the stuff Eyebrow were playing and some of it was [to me} a bit too teutonic and like a marching song, but hey ho to each his/her own eh.
Yeah shame about the house in the sun, win some lose some me old son - that's the way the cookie crumbles.

    1. Hi Heron. I missed posting and reading blogs and we have been very busy.

The house in the sun will happen one day. We just have to wait a bit longer. Especially when nobody knows what is going to happen with Brexit. I must get an Irish passport to prove my dual citizenship and keep my free movement. Eyevory are very talented. You will find their other tracks on You Tube.

  6. And I thought that over a month was a long time for a break (me) and here you are with three!
A friend asked me if I hadn't blogged for a while because I had nothing to write and I replied. Quite the opposite and I hadn't had time to blog! I guess that is your situation.
Hold those dreams dave. We all need them.
