I Saw Lots Of Rock Influences At An Aslan Concert.

The good wife and myself went to Bantry on Sunday night to see Aslan in concert at the Maritime Hotel.  I have seen some famous Irish bands live like: Thin Lizzy, U2 , Chris De Burgh, Clannad, The Hot House Flowers, to name but a few.

The audience was made up of mixed ages and everybody seemed to have a great time.  The lead singer reminded me of Oasis, John Lennon, Roger Waters, David Bowie, Peter Gabriel, Wayne Hussey.?  His hand gesticulations were amazing and I can't believe that this band never became bigger than they did.

You can't beat live music can you?  Here's one of their most famous hits.

Going Shopping For A Lawnmower And Coming Home With A George Foreman grill!

Sorry I haven't posted a blog for a while.

I went to Bantry town yesterday on the look out for a secondhand lawnmower. My old mower gave up the ghost early this year and I have been having to strim the lawns with my petrol strimmer.

It was a typical mizzle Autumn day in West Cork.  It certainly was not a day for mowing the lawns.  To make up for that the lawnmower repair and sales shop was closed.

So we went to Lidl and bought a George Foreman grill.  It's great and we bought three lovely steaks for eleven Euros.  The grill cooked them really well and the lawns will have to wait for a new mower.

Hope you're all well?
