Grandma's Bonnets. They come back every year. I think my Grandma must have sown them.
The weather's been remarkable and I can't remember a Spring so nice.
There are supposed to be thundery showers this afternoon. I am watering with the sprinkler every day at the moment.
It looks like it's going to be a wonderful bank holiday weekend.
Spring with such sunshine and warmth are rare aren't they Dave. I can remember some in the past. London Pride is a favourite of mine.
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable weather Rachel. I love the month of May. Apparently it was renamed London Pride because it was one of the first garden flowers to recover in the bombed out London Blitz gardens. Thanks Rachel.
ReplyDeleteYour garden is blooming, I do l9ve to see do nany different blooms and colours in a garden. My seedlings need potting on, so soon I will have flowers everywhere. We are home for the bank holiday, maybe a family bbq
ReplyDeleteYes Marlene. It's a bit slow to flower in north facing gardens. A barbecue sounds a good idea.
ReplyDeleteAll bank holidays are wonderful for people who work in banks - not that there's many of them around any more. Good weather over the weekend? I wouldn't bank on it when a bank of clouds rolls in from the Atlantic.
ReplyDeleteUnless you are a fresh water fish and you use the river bank YP. Summer is early this year. Apparently the last time there was a spring like this. August was a wash out. Sheffield looks glorious on the snooker broadcasts. You have some fine architecture.
