"My Favourite ".


The missus made a jelly trifle yesterday.  Sadly no alcohol was used in the making of this dessert.  It brought back memories of my dear old Mum's Bird's trifle.  Which she would buy from Kwik Save and make every week.  Sometimes we would have fruit cocktail with Carnation condensed milk or maybe a block of Walls ice cream.

Any road the trifle was delicious and I wonder if I could persuade her to make me a cheesecake next?  Strawberry of course?

    Wow, that takes me back! Do they still do Birds trifle?
    I've now a longing for a proper trifle just like my Mum made, but with a bit of alcohol. I must admit yours looks very tasty.😊 I was told today that there may be a glut of strawberries this year because there's no Wimbledon, here's hoping.

      Mum used to treat me to a Toast Topper when I arrived home cold and wet after cycling home from school. Vaguely remember Berni Inns, I'm sure they did a melon boat for starters, I thought that was really exotic.

    That looks delicious! I remember the block ice cream that you used to put a wafer either side! We used to have tinned fruit cocktail and you'd be lucky if you got the bit with half a cherry in! :)

    I make trifle (no sherry and put jello over my cake) for work potlucks. Everyone likes it.

    I remember my Dad buying the small brick of neopolitan ice-cream on payday and we each got a slice. No fridges back in the early 60s.

    Hi 50 and counting. Great memories of ice cream. We use to have it for a treat on Sundays in the Summer. No microwaves back then either or dishwashers. How did they manage?😊 Thanks.

I have visited many web pages that seem to sell you their version of removing or enforcing the immune system. Then I hear all the info on therapeutic vaccines as well as prophylactic vaccines and wonder how can that even help me.
