We went to The Kingdom or County Kerry on Saturday morning.
The car temperature was reading 27 degrees ๐ณ. Unbelievable!
Instead of going for a stroll on a repurposed railway line we went to the beach instead.
I have featured Fenit on here before. It reminds me of a English beach in the 1950s. Something like Ma and Pop Larkin might visit.
It was absolutely such a perfect day. The sun was shining down on us. Bronte and ourselves had ice cream and God was in his heaven.
Here's some photos for your perusal dear readers:
Fenit beach in Tralee bay.Bronte gazes at the sea view.
Do you think the bull can read the sign?
Bronte having a paddle.
"Time for an ice cream ๐ฆ๐. "
Who needs to go somewhere out foreign like Portugal ๐ต๐น or Spain ๐ช๐ธ?
The world and his wife enjoying the rays.
Almost Azure sea.
A lovely day in July 2025.
It's how we feel these days, no desire to go abroad, our weather is as good as the med, and no airports. We do like our city breaks and other locations, trying to see more of our beautiful country. Sat in the shade in garden, looking at all our hard work.
ReplyDeleteI love going abroad Marlene. Particularly the Algarve out of season and a break from the gales. I wouldn't like airport queues and crowded beaches in the sun at this time of year. The population is still very small in Ireland. Less than London or Yorkshire. We have had one shower so far this afternoon here in West Cork.
ReplyDeleteSend the rain this way please
DeleteIf it would just rain at night! Our gardens and ourselves would be very happy bunnies.
Delete27o and a sandy beach. Just lovely. The water looks very inviting. Especially for Bronte
ReplyDeleteIt went up to 28 degrees in Kerry and 31 degrees in Roscommon Linda. I have never known such temperatures here in the west in Ireland. Bronte loved the beach and sea and paddle and walk and her very own ice cream to her self.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful day to go to the beach. My old dog used to love to swim. He'd paddle out and out. I was always afraid he'd swim away, but he'd always paddle back.
ReplyDeleteIt was glorious Debby. The best year I can ever remember. They do make you worry but they are better swimmers than us. They are very good at doggy paddle๐.
ReplyDeleteIt looks idyllic. A semi tropical paradise, and no tourists to spoil it!
ReplyDeleteIreland is incredibly beautiful JayCee. Now we are back to the Irish monsoon season. " Rain, beautiful rain". The man from Del Monte say: " I'll have a pint of the black stuff๐".
ReplyDeleteHad I just seen the photos (without text) my first guess would not have been Ireland. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe Irish Riviera Dawn. Unbelievable. We'll pay for it. Gale season.
