Scruffy The Laundry Cat!

A cat's work is never finished.

Scruffy is a Maine Coon.  Which is an American breed of cat.  You would not believe much one of these cats or kittens cost.  Please have a guess and leave a comment.   Thank you!

Scruffy shares my music taste.  Kansas are our favourite prog rock band and "Cat Scratch Fever" by Ted Nugent is her favourite track.

I have mentioned on here that I saw Kansas in 2014.  In 1988 I saw Ted Nugent and Krokus  at Manchester Apollo.

Ted is very outspoken especially about guns but he puts on an excellent guitar show and is brilliant live.

This is a request for Scruffy:

Have you seen Ted Nugent live?

  1. You mean you have to buy a cat? Round here there are so many people giving away unwanted kittens it seems mad to pay for one.

    2. Manx cats also have longer back legs. So they are more like rabbits.

  2. These are American pedigree cats that cost a arm and a leg or even tail JayCee.

  3. Don't mention cats around here. We have plenty of the scruffy kind but they're not coons. Yours looks like an adorable tabby. Great ears

    1. She's a cool character Linda. Pedigree cats and dogs are making big money.

  4. Daughter sold her English short-hair cross for £150.00 each, they all were pretty and looked like mum, do nearer to a grand I would think.

  6. strnge mismatch between performer and audience in that video Dave. A bit like that Beatles comment about rattle your jewellery… Maine coons ate a bit big to be lap cats aren't they!

  7. Ted is one of my guitar heroes TM. Obviously I don't agree with people having guns. But yeah his music rocks. Showman supreme.

  8. I'm guessing £1500 and upwards. There is a beautiful cream coloured one near to where we live, its about the size of a small dog

  9. Yes Gill I would imagine that is the price for an adult cat. Our price was for a kitten.

  10. Scruffy is very sweet. One of my cats also has a preference for sleeping in the same kind of laundry basket, but doesn't share my taste in music.
I can't think how much you would need to pay for a cat like that. Mine both cost me the fee that the rescue centres charge. Cheap and cheerful.

Yes we have to buy cats here. We have few unwanted litters as everyone get their pets “fixed”
My cat Bella, she’s a British short hair, loves to sit in washing baskets too. Even if there is wet washing in it

  12. There was a fellow called Ted Nugent in my East Yorkshire village. I would sometimes see him cycling to or from one of the outlying farms so yes - I have seen Ted Nugent live. He had a sister called Emily.

  13. Could Emily have changed her name to Bronte? Ted Nugent is a superb guitarist live.
