A Prime Location, Street Art And A Seagull.

We noticed this house and garden for sale.  A kind taxi lady phoned the seller for us and texted us back with the price.  Are you sitting down?  They wanted 440000 Euros for it!  No doubt its in a prime location and one day there will be a concrete block of holiday apartments on the site?  So called progress I suppose?

We noticed that the utilities boxes are painted by some very talented artists and they cover up any graffiti.

A friendly seagull called Sid.  He waited patiently every day for any tit bits.  I think he originated in Blighty because chips were part of his diet.

  1. Nice to see the street art on the electricity boxes, makes a place very alive to see art like this.

  3. Hell what a price. I'd say, come to Greece, but it just wouldn't be the same! No way can you beat the Algarve. Keep searching. There's got to be something quaint, liveable and affordable

  4. I know LA. We want a small place in the countryside not far from the coast. Preferably in walking distance of a shop, bar and public transport. It's got to have a garden or a piece of land like an allotment to grow fruit and veg and sit in and enjoy the sun. Thanks!

  5. The sky is a blue I don't see often, even in summer. The price is so big. I suppose it's more than half a million dollars.

  6. Hi Joanne. A taxi driver told me that Portugal had no rain for nine months last year. Property is a lot cheaper inland. The house in the picture is very close to the sea. Thanks.

  7. Wow! Just the thought of living in that climate fair makes me drool! I always wanted to live by the sea but circumstances got in the way.

  8. Hi Valerie. I can see the sea from our kitchen window. But its not like the one in sunny Portugal. Thanks!

  9. That's Sid the Seagull alright. I'd recognize him anywhere. He was in Rovinj last time I saw him. They do get about don't they?

  12. Yes I know there are some amazing chateaus in France. Wouldn't mind a walled kitchen garden. There are lots of cheaper Algarve property, especially in land. Thanks!
