A New Day Festival At Mount Ephraim Gardens In Kent.

I arrived back at eight last night from sunny Kent.  An hard four days camping under trees (never again!), four days in really comfortable accommodation and enjoying three cracking days and nights at A New Day Festival.   Great people, great music and great weather.  Here's some pics for you:

Wonderful flowerpot
A shop in Faversham selling tickets for the festival.
The first band on the Friday:  Zal Cleminson's Sin Dogs.  For me the best band of the festival.  They are brilliant.  Remember the clown in The Sensational Alex Harvey Band?  Zal's your man.  Check out this band.

A wonderful Nepeta, "Catmint" specimen of a plant.

  1. There happened to be some other excellent groups like Thunder-stick, Hawklords, Uli Roth, Band Of Friends..? It was a great weekend and proves you're never too old to Rock N Roll.

  2. I get the feel of it from the photos. It looks like a small intimate music festival and very enjoyable atmosphere. Glad you enjoyed it and had good weather and at least a few nights in a comfortable hotel. Thanks for sharing Dave.

    1. Hi Heron. I got 596 Pounds for 700 Euros Heron. Wetherspoons was really cheap: two Pounds a pint and three pounds sixty for a traditional breakfast. The best thing was the weather: 24 degrees plus. Thanks!

  4. Glad you had a good time, though any night on the ground would have deterred me.

  5. Hi Joanne. It wasn't nice sleeping on tree roots. But the festival and weather made up for it. I miss rock music living in rural Ireland. Thanks!

  7. Hi Gwil. One of the punters told me a tale about a famous rocker walking on to a festival stage, stoned out of his head. He knocked over the amplifiers and said: we'll have to play the acoustic set now! Hope your well Gwil?
