Welcome To My World.

Imagine if you could find an old McDonald's restaurant and you could make it into your very own giant sized bungalow?

Come the glorious revolution we will all have our choice of what we want.  I'd like my own dustbin wagon and my own ex Ronald McDonald restaurant, drive through and takeaway to convert into my very own mega sized bungalow complete with a full sized snooker table, jukebox, bar, cinema and library.

I don't want much do I?

What would be your perfect abode to make into your home?

  1. I would quite like Windsor Castle when they have finished with it.
    Nice wallpaper 😁

  2. It would be ok wouldn't it JayCee? I wasn't impressed with the Queen's Majolica collection when we once visited Sandringham. I've seen better stuff on a carbootsale.😊 I wouldn't mind the giro that goes to Buck house every week.

  3. 10th floor apartment with a handyman who runs to change washers and light bulbs and a balcony with a view of the ocean.
    No upkeep, no hassle.

  4. Good idea. I think the balcony would have to big plants or maybe a roof terrace? I wouldn't mind living next door to a Wetherspoon's pub in Dorset. Thanks Linda!

  5. Default nitely a huge balcony. And a maid to mop it.
I guess I'd have to have lots of greenery. And a pub on the third floor

  7. I won't JayCee. It will be our birthdays every day and we'll all fly south for the winter away from the rain and gales.

  8. Because I believe that we should all be fighting back against climate change, my perfect abode would be a small well-insulated house heated cheaply by a ground heat pump. There would be a picture of Dean Windass above the mantelpiece - scoring his wonder goal against Bristol City on May 24th 2008.

  9. I think there should be much more public transport especially in rural areas and less emphasis on car transport. Is car transport a necessary evil? Ground pumps use a lot of electricity. Where is the electricity sourced? George Best would be my favourite mantlepiece picture above my solid fuel stove.

  10. I'd quite like Father Ted's house. Quiet, lots of fresh air and walks by the sea. Good light.

  11. Yes it's a grand farmhouse in County Clare. I would not like to meet Mrs Doyle asking me if I wanted another cup of tea.😊

  12. Near Tim's favorite restaurant in town called Pleasantville, there is a bank that has been turned into a home. I've always been curious to see what it looks like on the inside. From the glimpses you get from the street, it looks quite open and airy. Our Lieutenant Governor lives in a redone car dealership. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QxcvqM6ryM There are some people here who have redone a barn into a home. Me? I am happy enough to remake a house into a home.

  13. Hi Debby. I think there's lot of empty retail space that could be converted into dwellings for people. There are lots of ruined farmsteads here in Ireland that could be made into smallholding communities too. The bank sounds incredible.
