"How ya doing girl?" " I've got to go for the messages boy".
Traffic cones on Inch beach. You probably remember the beach in the horse race scene in Ryan's Daughter?
Looking out to sea. The beaches aren't so full and they are free for everyone to discover and walk and swim.
I'm back on my free morning cruise today to the island for another weeks work. I will reply to any comments tonight!
Notice at Inch beach.

Ireland is so incredibly beautiful especially when it's warm and the old currant bun in the sky is shining down on us.

In the summer of 1975 I slept in my tent amidst the dunes at Inch. I remember there were lots of sandhoppers there and with another free camper I collected lots of them and boiled them up for lunch. They were disgusting - not like shrimps at all - and filled with sand.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great holiday memory YP? The Irish beaches are so unspoilt and remind me of those uncrowded English beaches I have read about in the 1950s. I never tire of visiting these beaches. Thanks for your Kerry holiday memories YP.
ReplyDelete"Going for the messages" - that was an expression in our house too.
ReplyDeleteInteresting the veg artist.
DeleteIt does look beautiful there. A sort of free, untamed look about it. Much like your good self 😉
ReplyDeleteRough and untamec looking but friendly Jaycee.😊 Ireland is spectacularly gorgeous at times.
DeleteA beautiful long sandy beach. Wish I could walk along it too.
ReplyDeleteHave a good week at work
It's really hard to walk twelve miles on sand Linda. It's great for a short walk. Thanks!
DeleteI love long beaches - really long ones like Druridge Bay near where I grew up - all twenty miles of it.
ReplyDeleteTWENTY miles! That's incredible. I must Google it Mark.
DeleteCarboot sales AND two beaches! Life has certainly become more cheering there! I am so very happy for all of you, Northsider. You've waited an awfully long time for a day like this.
ReplyDeleteI know Debby. We did too much in a day. But we enjoyed every second and it's great to be free to visit beautiful Kerry again.
