New Baby Rabbits At Our Smallholding.

We had 16 more baby rabbits arrivals a few weeks ago.  Well at least 6 because they have left their parents now and moved into their new 'des res".

It was getting dark when the photo was taken.

The lady we bought their mother's from kept her rabbits for meat but we would prefer to sell them for birthday or Christmas presents.  You have heard of the Easter 🐰 bunny  why not have a Christmas bunny?

Anyone else keep rabbits or thinking of getting some?

They love the vegetable greens I collect them every day and they make great manure for the veg plot and polytunnel.

  2. They are cute but it must be torment for your cats. Our farm cat used to spend days staking out rabbit burrows and always got his coney in ths end.

  8. My little grandson has started keeping rabbits but they are all cuddly ones! No need for a cage and they do not have sex with their siblings.

  11. My backdoor neighbour has a pet bunny, his name is Boo and he has learned his treats are kept in the fridge so he hops over to it and sits with one paw on the door until she gets him a treat. I have a cat instead and one animal is more than enough for me.
