Not Lisdoonvarna.

I watched this video the other night.  It's a parody on Christy Moore's Lisdoonvarna.

Christy owns or owned an holiday home on our peninsula (Sheepshead) in West Cork.

I have seen his brother Luka Bloom play a couple of times.  Fair play to Mario for making me laught with his very topical ditty:

  3. That is funny. It does seem that your rules are very uneven. I believe that we should be masking. I believe that we should socially distance. But I also believe that this can be accomplished while still allowing (for instance) the carboot sales you're so anxious to continue, or YP's solitary walks, etc. Of course, mind you, this wisdom comes from a country with 30 million+ cases and 555,000+ deaths, so you should probably disregard me altogether.

  4. Not at all Debby. America and England are leading the way with the vaccines. I just wish they would share some with the poorer countries like Ireland. There's no point in the rich countries getting vaccinated and the poorer countries not having the vaccines. Glad you enjoyed the video. I think we all believe in Neil Youngs 'Keep on rocking in the free world." Thanks!

  5. A brilliant parody. I once met Christy Moore when walking along a lane near Mullaghmore in County Clare. I was with my late brother Paul and Christy was alone.

  6. How marvellous YP. I saw Luka Bloom his brother play Doolin folk festival in 2017. I also saw your incredibly talented songstress niece Kate perform and who smiled and walked past us in the foyer. Like you say a brilliant parody.
