Baking For Dogs.

Number 2 son ordered a biscuit mix for dogs.  It duly arrived last week and the wife baked them in the oven:

Made in the UK.  Is that near England?

The biscuit mix even came with a plastic bone mould template:

This how they looked before they went in t'oven.

Rosie enjoyed them very much and I tried one myself.  They tasted like Bonio dog biscuits.  To be honest I prefer Bob Martens chocolate drops.

Years ago me and my pal use to pop in the pet shop and buy a tube each on the way home from the baths.  They gave my hair lots of vigour and shine. 😊

  2. No JayCee I am not joking. We also use to take a packet of Chivers jelly cubes to the public baths. If you were a good swimmer they encouraged you to put on your pyjamas and dive down for a rubber brick. We also use to decorate our exercise books with wallpaper. How odd?😊

  3. We used to get "good boy" doggie chocs here in Canada. My son's loved them. They had shiny coats, er hair and strong nails.

I must be a terrible Mother, my youngest teethed on Milkbone dog biscuits. Too big to choke on and never went soggy.

    1. Good Boy chocolate drops are great and good for you. I have known grown ups who like Rusks biscuits 50 and counting.

  4. Eating dog biscuits? Christ Almighty! You might turn into a dog, piddling on lampposts and washing your private parts with your own tongue. Mrs Northsider will have to invest in a kennel and chain.

  5. I have dipped them in a brew YP. I think that's why I like walking so much. Dogs love walkies.

  7. The dog biscuits are a bit bland Linda. I have always been the Guinea pig in our house to test any new pet treats. Rosie wolfed them down.😊

  8. For some reason I can now leave comments on my iPad but not desktop , anyway, I used to know a vet who went into the pet food business, and I would happily eat anything his company makes. Love jelly cubes!

  9. Hi the veg artist. Good to see your still leaving comments despite the gremlins. Your vet makes purpose sense. Why would you give something to a beloved pet that you wouldn't est yourself? Yes jelly cubes. They always gave you energy and were refreshing after your swimming lessons and all that horrible chlorine taste. I think it was a lot stronger way back when.

  11. Does your leg thump on the floor when your wife scratches your ears? This is probably the wrong place to mention this, but the difference between pet food and human foods is that pet foods are not held to the standards of human food. Meaning they can have more rodent hair and bug parts. But it doesn't appear to have done you any harm. Except for the unfortunate and enthusiastic way you greet new people.

  12. Yes my leg does thump on the floor sometimes Debby. I am not allowed on the couch either. The postman isn't keen on me barking and growling and not letting him in.

  13. Sounds like a bit of obedience training would do you good, sir.

  14. I am hoping that you have a stricter control on what can go in dog food in the UK. Here in the states, most people wouldn't consider it, too risky. Most dog food comes from China and they have a bad rep for poisoning pets.
