"But The Gentry Must Come Down And The Poor Shall Wear The Crown."

Today people in Blighty have the opportunity to make the Tories extinct.

Here's a song written by a Wigan lad called George Winstanley who led the Diggers.  He believed in land for all and everyone could work the land:

I am still available Keir to work in your Allotments and Smallholdings department.  I can work online?

I have a great song for tomorrow when Keir becomes PM. My mum and dad would have been so happy that the party for the labourers are back in power.

  3. That song was surprisingly well-delivered by Chumbawamba. Maybe they felt its meaning in their bones. Let's hope the British people return Labour once again as a memorial gift to your Labour-voting mother and father and all of the other Labour people who went before us. The workers united will never be defeated!

  4. Thanks YP. I hope the new Labour government build the broken bridges made my the Tories and the Brexit disaster. Keir will make a great prime minister and I hope the electorate give them time and another five years after this.

  5. Our Supreme Court has given our president unprecedented power. I seriously fear for our democracy. Good luck to all of you. May your government do more good than harm.

  7. Except that "Labour" are no longer the party of the labouring classes, just as "Liberal Democrats" are neither liberal nor democratic (ignore referendum votes?) and "Conservatives" are not remotely conservative any more.
Al should be prosecuted under the Trade Descriptions Act.

  8. Fair point Will. A case of running with the foxes and chasing with the hounds. Only time will tell.

  9. Any Wigan lad who tries to take over St George's Hill in Surrey is asking for trouble.

  12. If the new government help give roofs over the homeless heads that will be good enough for me Rachel. It's Reform and the Liberal Dems that split the Tory vote.

The Pure Drop Inn.

Here is the Pure Drop Inn in Marnhull in Dorset that we visited in 2018.  It's mentioned in Thomas Hardy's classic Tess Of The Dur...
