Heavy Rock Apple Pie.

My old rocker mate Phil Mogg released a new record the other day.

He's 76 and still strutting his stuff.

Strangers In The Night by UFO is probably the greatest live album ever recorded.  Well apart from Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy of course.

I hope Phil and Neil and the lads come to West Cork or Kerry.  They will be very welcome.

  1. It's slightly weird seeing ones rock heroes get old (I'm sure I haven't aged a bit!😁)

  2. You may be surprised to learn that my name is actually Neil and not "Yorkshire Pudding". I have no plans to come to West Cork in the near future - with or without Phil. Sorry to disappoint you. I could have given you a few gardening tips.

  3. It is Tigger's Mum. I finally got to see Kansas in 2014 and Michael Schenker (ex UFO) last year. I will be seeing Rick Wakeman (again) soon and he is also in his seventies. I still feel young but I don't look it. The music from my youth is so superior to modern day music. Mogg's Hotel show how it should be played me thinks. Thanks for commenting. It's very quiet on here today.

  4. I was referring to Neil Carter a former member of UFO Mr Pudding. I saw your niece at Doolin Folk Festival in 2018 me thinks? Did you ever see UFO? The band not the unidentified flying object.

    1. Yes I did see UFO at Hornsea Floral Hall in the very early seventies. It was very loud and I do not think my hearing has been the same since then. Putting my head inside one of the horn speakers did not help I am sure.

    2. Those were the days (Mary Hopkins) YP. Did the decibels shatter the famous pottery?

    3. Maybe. You can still see Hornsea pottery around in charity shops. It was so distinctive. I bought myself a mug because I am a mug.

    4. Yes I know of Hornsea pottery YP. We often see it on Antiques Roadtrip and incharity shops and at carboot sales. I would like to collect some Clarice Cliff or some carved mouse furniture by Yorkshire Mouseman Robert Thompson. Are you familiar with his work?

    5. Yes I am. He died in 1955 but several of his apprentices followed him.

    6. Yes I have seen his carved church mouse furniture in Anglican churches in England. They are very clever and very well made.
