Shasta Daisies. My Forever Plant Friend..

If I had to choose a favourite flower it would have to be a member of the Daisy family.

Above are my Shasta Daisies just coming into flower.  They are named after the Californian snow covered mountains.

We have lots and lots of them in our gardens.

I adore them and every year I divide them and make more to sell at car boot sales.

I have grown them from cuttings in the polytunnel.  Hopefully this Autumn I will attempt to grow some from seed.

  1. The daisies are lovely. In winter here, or is it Spring, the fields are full of them. You're doing your magic again and you'll be enjoying lots more faisies

  9. Prime Minister Keir Starmer should call his new nationalised trains service Shasta Railways. " Daisy, daisy give my arms ado...." Isn't he looking like a great leader?

    1. His leadership has begun well but the powerful right wing press are already chomping at the bit - waiting to slag him off in the most vicious terms. It is just a question of time.

  10. True. It's a pity they can't nationalise the press. Keir talks so positive and there's no negativity from him or his team. It's looking very optimistic for you all in Blighty.
