We went food shopping in Aldi this morning.
It was: Operation Onion Bhaji Mix and tins of Ravioli and Spaghetti with Sausage.
We bought ten Bhaji mixes and six tins of the other stuff.
Do you go on big food shopping trips like us?
It is like that old English music hall song by Marie Lloyd:
"A Little Bit Of What You Fancy Does You Good".
No home grown stuff there then!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your feast :)
It was probably homegrown in Blighty. 😆 We are getting tired of new potatoes JayCee. Not really. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteOh, lord, I don't think I could EVER get tired of new potatoes. Yummo!
DeleteThey are always ready at the wrong time of year when its too hot.
DeleteWe stock up on things we can't find elsewhere when we visit Lidls. Can't afford to fill up the pantry but I get 3 or 5 Irish butters and K gets on a supply of After Dinner mints. Their zero cola is cheap too. We don't use much tinned food. A few packets of tomato puree and tuna now and again. A different culture.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda. Stuff like tins of Heinz Ravioli were so easy to purchase when we lived in Blighty. So 20 odd years later if we see them we stock up. It's the simple things that you miss that are so important. Bill Wyman said he missed Piccalilli when he moved to France. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteReally well. https://touristplacesandattractions.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteYep.
ReplyDeleteWe shop at Lidl and for us always is their dry-cured bacon, we never leave without a couple of packs.
ReplyDeleteBulk buying is a good way of shopping Marlene.
