Seasonal Shop Windows.

We noticed these shop window displays on our shopping trip on Tuesday.   I love shop window  displays.  Especially Christmas themed ones.

Fair play to the shop workers for thinking up and creating these displays.  Apparently snow is on the way.  So the snow themes are very appropriate.

I must order a big trailer of logs.  Our log pile is nearly gone.

Have you seen any wonderful Christmas shop window displays on your travels?

  1. Those are lovely. I like the more traditional themes, it puts me more in the Christmas mood.
Sleet is forecast here for this week and it is only 4C this morning, very dark too, so I can believe it is heading our way.
We have a log pile ready to go!

  2. They are lovely JayCee. I love Dickensian style Christmases. It's all become too secular and this gives it more of a Christmas theme. I love Nativity Cribs too. Especially large ones.

We go through logs and coal really fast. I must get some more today and spend a few hours throwing them in the log shed. Hope I don't need to split them.

  3. I used to go around the shops in the last few days before Christmas, not to buy anything, just for the atmosphere. When I was still in school I worked as a Saturday girl in Boots, and loved working at Christmas time. Kiddies coming in with their pennies, wanting toiletries for their mum - we'd have a drawer of things kept back for them, where the main packaging had been damaged, but the items inside were fine. We were allowed to sell them for very little, as they'd have been thrown away otherwise.

  6. Hi Briony. There's some very clever and talented window dressers. We went Christmas shopping early in the week before the world and his wife decide to go shopping.

  7. The big snowman in the second picture appears to have fallen over. Was he pissed? Perhaps he is called Dave.

No. I haven't seen any eye-catching Christmas windows but last night I did see Official COVID advice from Sheffield City Council on a bollard sleeve and the last rule was this:- "Be kind and helpful" which made me smile.

  8. I did manage to purchase a slab of Newcastle Brown Ale on my travels and offered the snowman a Christmas drink YP.😊

Good slogan. Boris Johnson should take notice and learn to be kind.
