Always Read The Frequently Asked Questions On A Festival Website.

*AND REMEMBER,  BACKPACKERS AND BIKERS DON'T NEED CAMPING STICKERS -THEY CAMP FOR FREE!!

I recently purchased  a music festival ticket and I paid an additional fifty Pounds for a camping sticker.

My friend emailed me and asked me why I had bought a camping sticker when it's free for backpackers.  Had I not read this on the festival Frequent Added Questions on their website?

I checked it again.   See the asterisk at the top of the page.  I has only wasted ten pints of beer tokens for a sticker I don't need!!

"Oh you silly thing.  You have really gone and done it now": The Sex Pistols me thinks.

I have sent a few emails to the contact email for the festival asking for my fifty quid back.  But up to now they don't/won't reply.  What would you do? The wife suggesting phoning them.  I booked it through a ticket agency.  They won't be spivs will they?

Oh well.

Have you any plans for any music festivals this summer time?

  1. Oops. I don't think I usually bother with the FAQs pages on websites unless I have a specific question. Perhaps I ought to start now.

  2. I don't think you have to be a LawyerJayCee to read every last word on a festival website to guarantee you won't be ripped off or taken for a fool. It's the ignorance of their contact email that annoys me. Rather like leaving a comment on a blog and they don't reply.

    1. It is very annoying. I have emailed four different surveyors recently and not one of them has bothered to reply. They could at least have just said Sorry, too busy.
PS I hope I haven't missed replying to one of your blog comments!

    5. I wrote the post Debby because I was annoyed at myself for being stupid not reading ALL the festival website FAQs and at the festival organisers not replying.

  3. They don't deserve your time or money JayCee. They don't know the word Sorry. You and the rest of the blogs I follow and who follow us all have excellent manners. Thanks for replying.

  5. I don't get it. Who is meant to purchase the camping stickers? Won't you be arriving in a car? Doesn't that mean that you are not a backpacker?
