Mother's Milk Is Best.

I thought you would like to see again the Berkshire black pig  and her new Bonhams having their milk 🥛 pop.

They were only born on Thursday morning and already their eyes are wide open and they are walking around.

Us humans take months if not years to develop.

Anyone else keep 🐖 🐖  or 🤔 thinking of getting some?

  1. I shall be enjoying one of their cousins for my dinner today. Braised with apples and onions. Yum.

  3. No pigs thank you but they'd certainly get fat in our care. Lots of leftovers. However they would be fattened for the table and I don't know if I could eat them after looking after them

  4. They are great for clearing land Linda. We give them old bread and vegetables leftovers and the contents of the food jars in the kitchen cupboards along with their ration and fodder beet and straw at the moment. You could always sell them to the butcher or to friends.. Thanks.

  5. How many nipples do sows have? Looks like she's got room for several more piglets. Perhaps you could milk her so that you've got some to put in your coffee.

  6. 12 to 14 YP. She was a lovely Yorkshire lass. She loved her udders feeled (Huddersfield). Strictly black coffee in our house. Irish whiskeys with spray cream very permissable.

    1. True. It's all down to our quality of our lives River. I would hate not to be able to potter about in the polytunnel and tend the animals.

  11. Lots of people use to keep their own pigs TM. You will need to get yourself a pig number from your local agricultural department.
