This was our Heidi the German Shepherd/ess last Sunday week.
She very bravely welcomed 10 of her new 🐶 into the world.
There are 5 girls and 5 boys. Quite a good litter for a first pregnancy.
Well done Heidi. Already we have four customers for four of them.
They are rather beautiful. They haven't opened their eyes yet but miraculously they can still find Heidi's teats for a drink of milk pop. Piglets are walking about with their eyes wide open the same day.
The puppies will be ready to go to good homes in about 9 or 10 weeks.
Today's photo for Tigger's Mum. Please click on the photo to see the brown markings.
Your household seems to have lots of new babies around. A busy time.
ReplyDeleteWe need the new babies to keep the wolf from the door JayCee. They should help pay for a holiday or Rock Festival Trip in England next year.
DeleteOhhh, lovely. Bravo Heidi. All the best to Mum and pups
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda. Ten puppies is great for a first litter.
ReplyDeleteYou need to open a special maternity ward! I like one pup going it alone already. Are german shepherds always all black when they start? When do they get their blonde bits?
ReplyDeleteI will post an up to date today's photo of them TM. The brown bits are appearing daily. The mother has a lot of black in her coat. I love pups and 😸 kittens.
ReplyDeleteHeidi will be distraught when her babies leave Northsider Mansion. How would you and Jean have felt if your two lads had been taken away by strangers soon after birth?
ReplyDeleteP.S. How did Heidi get pregnant?
Do you not know about the birds and bees Mr Pudding? Me and Heidi are big Scorpions fans.
ReplyDeleteDid you have to bring in Tyson from Cork City? Advertised as "The randiest German shepherd in the county".
DeleteNo the Father is a West Cork lad.
DeleteShe looks like a good mama. I love fat sleepy puppies. 10, though. Yes gods. That is quite a pile of puppies.
ReplyDeleteYes Debby. Ten puppies and no runts. We feel truly blessed. Heidi divides them into groups of five and washes them. Typical Mother Nature.
ReplyDeleteParoxisms of delight. Wee roundy puppies. How did 10 of those fit in Heidi or have they doubled in size in 48 hours? And thank you i can see their cute little blonde bits.
ReplyDeleteThey were born a week last Sunday TM.
DeleteTen puppies. TEN!! Is that usual? It seems like a lot. They are beautiful though.
ReplyDeleteI believe they can have even bigger litters River. They are beautiful aren't they?
