Do you think they allow cats?
When was the last time you took some beer or whisky to a carboot sale?
Every one makes miss takes 😊 or even mistakes.
Well it made us laugh rather like when we looked at a sign in a Algarve cafe advertising beaked beanz.
I may tell you about our car boot bargains soon!
Perhaps they didn't have enough space on the notice to aqueeze in all the letters.
ReplyDeleteAh, no. They said. Nobody will notice a missing O.
You could be right JayCee. Then they looked at it and said: "o!"
ReplyDeletePeter used to make spelling mistakes on his signs when he was hedge trimming on his tractor on the roads, hand written signs. He said he didn't care if people laughed, so long as it made them aware he was there.
ReplyDeleteYes Rachel. Any sign is better than no sign. P was so right trying to avoid anybody getting hurt. It annoys me so much when you see or try to see signs and road markings covered in the encroaching vegetation. Thanks has always.
ReplyDelete*whew!* At first glance, I thought that alcohol was not allowed. Luckily, that's not what the sign says.
ReplyDeleteWhew is an amazing word Debby. At least you can see the funny side.
ReplyDeleteWell, being as how I'm sitting here with an open bottle to my right, well...I'd sure hate to be breaking any laws.
DeleteIt's a bit early in the morning for a drink Debby. I think we are both on a different time zone.
DeleteI suspect that the signmaker meant to put "ALCOHOL" but I might be mistaken. Perhaps it was "TINKERS".
ReplyDeleteHmm... An old man once asked me ;"Why do they put rubbers on the ends of pencils?" Because everyone makes mistakes. He was right.
