Christmas Comes Too Early.

 Sleeping it off.

This photograph is not like it seems.  It could be AI couldn't it just?

Someone had left a can of Heineken in one of the pockets of the dog chewed couch.

The Husky decided to have a nap and she looks like me after Christmas Day dinner.

We would be hoping that Billy Smart or Mary Chipperfields Circus would appear on the television screen. Those were the days.

We are having Dexter roast beef for Christmas Dinner with my homegrown parsnips and Brussel sprouts with some bought organic spudatoes.  What are ye having?

  1. Someone looks very content. I'll be having chicken for Christmas Dinner. Does anyone really enjoy turkey? Of course there'll be carrots and brussel sprouts. I'll pass on the roast parsnips, though, I'll use them to make soup instead.
In an ideal world I'd have vegetable lasagne and garlic bread, but the girls have insisted on a roast. 🎄

  2. She does doesn't she Jules? We never have anything left over after our Christmas dinner. No turkey sandwiches or turkey curry... The cats and dogs get the meat and the pigs eat any fruit or vegetables.

  3. I love turkey and would happily eat it every day ... almost.
Not sure what we'll be having for our Christmas dinner. It depends on whether we can find any eateries open on the day.
Are you sure your Husky hadn't had a quick nip before napping?

  5. Haha. Good photo.
For xmas lunch, maybe some fish (as a real treat). I like salmon but can also easily wolf down a seabass. In previous years, I've had lambs and chicken. I don't mind Turkey, but I think I prefer a joint of something.
Definitely some sprouts and yorkshire pudding with mash.
    ... and gravy!!
    ... and wine.
... and then look like above. !

  6. We used to have turkey but everyone here prefers chook. And there will be roast pork at the other end of the table. Plenty to eat!

  7. Hi Linda. I think carving joints are great for a big gathering. There will only be a few of us so the the roast Dexter will be just the ticket for us. They let it grow for an extra year to make the meat mature. It makes such a difference compared to other grass fed beef.

  8. Beef or duck for us and a vegetarian option if middle daughter joins us, and plenty of vegetables.

  9. Sounds good. We have a sit down meal then it's an help yourself hot and cold buffet for the rest of the day and night. One year we had beef curry for the main course.

Holding Up The Garden Centre.

I found this comic gem on You Tube recently.  If anyone would be daft enough to try to hold up a garden centre?  Well Rab was.
