Cape Daisies like the ones in our rusty milk churns here in West Cork. Two Wedgewood trinket boxes.
Antique leather Burmese tiger. We paid 15 Euros for it. The man wanted 20. I think Drew and Tee would like this on Salvage Hunters?
Plastic garden gnome for the patio.
It was good to be browsing and buying instead of selling.
I'm struggling to keep my plants in pots alive at the moment. There's showers for the end of the week and we could get the tail end of Storm Oscar which is about to hit the Canaries. I noticed a dew in County Donegal on Sunday morning, I woke up shivering in my tent. Another roughing it short break.
Did you go surfing? Bundoran is of course the home town of The Screaming Orphans but they did not write "Beautiful Bundoran". Any Hull City fan would give you a tenner for that tiger.
ReplyDeleteI only surf on the T'web and Tinternet YP. Kelloggs would probably call him Tony. He's worth a few Bob and probably originates from Burma. A nice find on a red hot Sunday morning in County Donegal.
ReplyDeleteIt looks as hot as the Algarve over there. No wonder you have tigers roaming around. They must think they are in the tropics.
ReplyDeleteNormal service will be resumed with showers from Friday JayCee. We've had July and August weather in May and June. Unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteShivering in your tent. No, no ,no. B and B at this time of the year.
ReplyDeleteLove the gnome (exotiko) . Our weather is really unsettled, sunshine and rain. The plants are loving it. Of course yours will survive. Youre Dave the wonder gardener!
Gnomey is made of old real plastic Linda. I'm getting tired of sleeping under at canvas. My plants will come back when it's rainy season again.
ReplyDeleteGreat views over the coast there. And that garden has a relaxed feel about it. Perhaps we should try Cape Daisies here in south Blightly.
ReplyDeleteYes there are great coastal views there Tigger. It's the first time I have been all around Ireland and saw no rain. The Cape Daisies like it here but they don't like a lot of frosh and I always place a few plant pots in the polytunnel during the winter. They are easy to propagate by division and cuttings especially from September onwards if you overwinter them.
ReplyDeleteI love the view of the sea there and the sleeping garden gnome at the end. I also have a sleeping gnome, but different to yours.
ReplyDeleteGlad you likethe sea view and the sleeping gnome River. The weather's been incredible for the last couple of weeks or so. The showers start again on Friday. Our plants and fields need the rain badly.
