I went down the boreen to collect some Nasturtiums for the black pig and the rabbits tea.
I noticed peas growing through a old gate lying next to the veg plot.
They must of fell out of last years compost pile or they are garden escapees like the Nasturtiums from the veg plot.
I think this could be an exhibit in the Tate Modern or a show garden at Chelsea Flower Show next year.
Isn't Mother Nature amazing?
We try so hard to recreate what she does so well.
ReplyDeleteYes we do. She never ceases to amaze me.
ReplyDeleteAin't she grand!
ReplyDeleteYep! She struts her stuff JayCee.
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for the greening of my garden, nasturtiums and clover/sorrel, oxalis, whatever it is. They pop up and make a beautiful green cover every winter. We are waiting for rain so mother nature can perform her miracles. Everything is behind this year because of the searing summer heat
ReplyDeleteI can send you our rain Linda. It's come back today.
ReplyDeleteFather Nature is even more amazing. He gets up very early to go to work when Mother Nature is still slumbering. Later she will meet up with her pals at "The Green Fingers" for coffee and a natter while Father Nature slaves away, unseen and unacknowledged.
ReplyDeleteYes and he digs the spuds and does all the weeding. Father Nature wish is to live in a hairdryer and Hoover free zone.
ReplyDeleteHe also does not like washing machines and tumble dryers but he is just a man! What can he do?
DeleteMan cave. Or Uncle Morts railway carriage on his Sheffield allotment. "I Didn't know You Cared". My favourite comedy writer Peter Tinniswood wrote it. " I heard that pardon".
DeleteDidn't he write "A Resounding Tinkle"?....."you should have taken the measurements".....
DeleteWas that not G F Simpson, GZ?
DeleteWonderful. I've now got two sunflowers in the garden, which didn't get planted by me.
ReplyDeleteDo you feed the birds in winter Jules? The birds leave me presents and brambles appear from nowhere. I suppose a lot of seeds arrive with the wind and rain?
ReplyDeleteYes, the birds enjoy quite a buffet, so I'm pretty sure this is where my sunflowers came from. A nice surprise :)
DeleteA winter bird buffet.
