Make It Yourself Curry Bratwurst.

Look what we found in our local German garden centre and beer providers and supermarket yesterday:

Make it yourself?  🤔

Two minutes in the machine that goes "ping" and they're only two Euros.

I had them for us supper or me tea last night.  The others had 🍕.   I thought they were 👍.

Not very spicy hot like the ones we made but I suppose they have to cater for everyone? I like spicy food that is "hot, hot , hot, hot".

Would you eat them dear readers?

  1. Well, I am glad that you enjoyed them, especially at that price. A filling, hot tasty meal, although I have to confess that I wouldn't fancy them. Sorry!

  2. Battered sausages with curry sauce would do just the same JayCee. From a old fashioned chip shop. Do you have any traditional chip shops on the IOM?

    1. We have indeed. They are very popular too.

    2. They seem to be dying out over here and being replaced with pizza and kebab takeaways.

  3. I had never heard of curried bratwursts until you brought them up. They don't sound appetizing to me, perhaps because of the juxtaposition of two flavors that I can't imagine blending well. But I imagine that you would not lead your readers astray, so certainly, I would try it.

We had a japanese curry for supper the night before last. I thought it was very good. Tim did not like it at all.

  4. I had never heard of Currywurst until we visited a German cafe bar in Tenerife recently Debby. They are different and popular in Germany like The Scorpions and Michael Schenker are great Metal bands.

Japanese curry sounds really different. Any chance of you writing a blog about it Debby?

  6. You could always make your own Linda if you can't find some microwave Currywurst? I am waiting for my seed potatoes to be in store. I want to start chitting them. I normally chit them in a box or crate in the front room.

  7. Yes I would happily eat some if Piggy Northsider had left some for me. I would like some rice with the dish and maybe a Turkish bellydancer for entertainment but JayCee would also be acceptable.

    1. JayCee might do a Triskelion belly dance?

    2. Is Triskelion down in Cornwall? I think they do morris dancing there.

    3. IOM I think. Imagine dancing on those Morris cars? Especially the Morris Traveller with its wood effects. It was like a Tudor car for nineteen sixties motorists. Very odd.

  8. I don't like "hothothot" so maybe I'd try them, but I would have something else with them, maybe rice or mashed potatoes.

  9. They are quite filling on their own River. Not spicy enough for me.

Dividing Phormiums And Giving Them A Haircut.

Rather like vegetables. So many of our garden plants come from overseas.  I often spend time on Google looking up the etymology of our plant...
