Prannock.

That's a northern English swear word for a silly person like me.

I thought I would delete some of the blogs on my blog list that are no longer active.  I deleted one and seem to have deleted all of them in the process.

If you are on my list please don't think I have deleted your blog.

I can't even remember how I made a blog list in the first place.  I have spent a few hours trying to recover my blog list but it's all to no avail.  Perhaps I should just carry on without a blog list?

Answers on a postcard or better still in the comments box PLEASE!

  1. "Prannock" is a marrying of "prat" with "wazzock". I have never heard it here on the dry side of The Pennines.

Just go back to "Layout" and do your repair work there. It's easy enough but you will have to patiently transfer the web addresses of your favourite blogs.

  2. Thanks YP. It's definitely a word from the Manchester/ Lancashire area. I will try again. But if unsuccessful please don't think I have deleted you off my blog list.

    1. This is outrageous! Your blog list has still not been reinstated. My solicitor will be in touch with you shortly.

    2. I can get radio Yorkshire Pudding but I seem to be locked out from the great JayCee on Manx 📻.

    3. Following my threat, you seem to have got your bloglist up and running again so I have instructed my solicitor at Ripemov and Chargam to ignore my previous request.

  3. Is prannock similar to barm cake? As in "you daft barm cake"

  4. I suppose so JayCee. Or even Eccles cake with its regional connection.

  5. Just find your favorite blogs and click follow if they provide you with that opportunity (special email required to JayCee - follow by invitation only) - OR go to "Reading List" and click on 'manage' top right. You can add blogs to that by cutting and pasting in their address (called a URL I think - don't quote me, I'm a luddite but that is how I added non-Blogger blogs to my reading list. You can add wordpress addresses, and individual websites that are blogs). Once you have a selection of addresses in your reading list you can go to 'Layout' as YP suggests, deploy the gadget designed to show blogs you follow on your page and edit how those blogs appear in your page layout.

    1. I have tried adding your blog and a few others to my new blog list Debby but up to now I have not been successful. I must try again.

    3. Good to read. It's so easy to lose followers.

  8. What they all said is worth trying. I have a list of blogs I follow and it shows up in my side bar when I click on the "menu" three horizontal lines at the top left of my blog, but they are people I entered in my reading list long ago and can't be bothered going through all that again, so any new people I like I simply add to my "favourites" by clicking on the star on the web address line at the top of the page and click "done" and it gets added to the long long list accessed by the other star a bit further along with menu bars in place of one of the points. Confused?

  9. Thanks River. Sometimes Blogger doesn't wish to play. The other day I couldn't upload photos. Then I scanned and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the advice.

  12. Also, when adding blognames to your reading list don't forget to scroll to the bottom and click on "save" to save the changes you just made.

  13. Thanks again River. I did "save" them but some blog names do not appear.

Rather like vegetables. So many of our garden plants come from overseas.  I often spend time on Google looking up the etymology of our plant...
