See why I go to carboot sales?
Some of my hundreds of perennials that I have propagated myself and hoping to sell instead of just buying stuff at a carboot this very weekend.
It rained through Friday and well into Saturday morning. I stayed in bed to mid morning reading blogs answering comments and seeing what s...
Oh wow. I would buy your plants. I expect you will do very well with them.
ReplyDeleteThanks JayCee. I find selling perennials very hit and miss at carbootsales in Ireland. I think we will put some other household stuff on the table. My prices are very cheap. I saw similar plants for sale at a market for 8 Euros each. Mine start at 2 Euros.
DeleteGood Luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks Veg Artist! I would rather be buying than selling.
ReplyDeleteGood luck selling at the car boot sale. Here's a tip for winning sales from ladies - nip their arses! This goes down well and makes them giggle with delight. Best to do it when their husbands are not looking.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip YP. I am sure they will be delighted and buy lots of pretty flowers and this time next year we will be Millionaires. 🤗
ReplyDeleteLovely jubbly...
DeleteHe who dares wins.
DeleteThats a wonderful array of plants. But I need the gardner to keep them growing. What wonderful browsing at your sales. May you always find many bargains
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda and they come back every year. They are like us. Give them a drink and they will thrive.
ReplyDeleteWe like to buy plants we know have been grown/propagated in the area where we will be growing them - so we know they suit that climate. Yours should be guaranteed to thrive locally - good luck and hope you make 100s of sales.
ReplyDeleteOurs have been grown on a Peninsula where we get Atlantic gales and more than our fair share of rain Tigger. The one's in the photo lived in the polytunnel last winter but now they are hardened off and live outside in all weathers. You are very clever cat gardener Tigger.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear how your selling goes. You have waited for this day for two long years.
ReplyDeleteThanks Debby. My first concert next week since 2019. I can't wait to see a band again.
