Golden Retriever Alarm Clock.

Are you tired after losing an hour sleep last night?

We have a Golden Retriever alarm ⏰️ clock in our bedroom.  Someone decided that Bronte can sleep in their bedroom.  Not me.

Often around four in the morning.  I find something sleeping on my feet.

I tell her to get down and try to go back to bo bos.

Then around seven or 6.30 yesterday morning.  We got the 🐕 s bark chorus instead of the birds Prog Rock Dawn chorus that lasts at least twenty minutes when you're camping.

Here is our four legged alarm ⏰️ clock Bronte:

Golden Retriever Alarm Clock.  Not the name of a Prog Rock band but a four legged get you upper!  When a girl needs to do her ablutions everybody needs to be called to get dressed and take her outside.

  1. I got up half an hour early because of the interference with time and now as I sit here I am feeling as though I should have stayed in bed. Bloody British Summer Time!

  2. Are the days not long enough YP? Why do they change the clocks? We are not WW1 ammunition workers who need the extra light.

    1. Families with babies or small children must feel especially annoyed about the pointless changing of clocks twice a year as it disrupts their routines. I hope I don't fall off the stepladder when I adjust our kitchen clock. Then there's car clock to wind on! Grrrrr!

    2. I agree YP. Now if you were to purchase a mobile phone it would automatically change the time itself. Can I put ticking clocks with the hoovers and air dryers in Room 101 please?

    3. You mean the mobile phone would change our kitchen wall clock and the car clock too? Bloody clever things they are! I would put smartphones in Room 101 along with Newcastle Brown Ale and Alan Titchmarsh.

    4. But Alsn hails from Yorkshire and lives down South. Geoffrey Smith was my favourite TV gardener. I mean television not transvestite.

    5. Alan even! You can even alter your heating with your mobile phone when you are on holiday in Portugal YP if you install the App.

    6. What is an "App"? Do you mean "Ape"? And why would we want our heating on when away on holiday?

    7. An Application installed on your mobile groan or phone. If like me you have sun holidays in winter you can take the chill off rooms at home.

    8. We are going to The Algarve in May this year so we don't need to bother with apes for our heating.

    10. Oh, that's top secret my friend!... We have rented a lovely villa close to Farol de Alfanzina, west of Albufeira. The whole family is going.

    11. Near Carvoeiro? We once walked from Porches to Carvoeiro along the cliffs. Some of the villas and wild flowers are incredible. Take the kids to Zoomarine. You can see beautiful Portuguese young ladies riding around on Dolphins in wetsuits. The ladies wore the wetsuits not the Dolphins.

  3. My friends all got up at 6:20 this morning so that they could climb the hill to watch the sunrise.
    I stayed in bed.

It is a relief that the clocks have gone forward so we can have an hour less rain!

  8. Yes I have never mastered dog time. They know when it's time for tea and for walkies.

  9. From our bedroom window I saw the setting moon towards the right, and the dawn appearing to the left. Beautiful.

  11. I just kept on sleeping and got up an hour later. I hope I'll soon get used to the different hour and wake up to a chorus of birds. I can hear them now it's warm enough to have a window open

  12. I wish I could have kept sleeping Linda. Our four legged alarm clock ensures we don't get a lie in. It's been nice today apart from the rain an hour ago. It looks like it's stopped for a while. Happy Easter.
